Born in Durban, South Africa, Shabir brings over two decades of expertise in the hospitality industry. Together with his wife Sarah, he established Durban Spice from their home in Wheatley, craftings secret set menus that celebrate the rich culinary heritage and vibrant spice traditions of South African gastronomy.

Drawing upon a captivating blend of cultural traditions—including Indian, Dutch, Malay, and indigenous African heritage—guests will be taken on an unforgettable sensory journey.
